The Ministry of Energy and Water (MEW), Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has awarded to WAPCOS Limited, India a Consultancy Study – “Pre-Feasibility Studies and Priority Ranking of 22 Small/Medium Dam Sites and Feasibility Studies of 10 Small/Medium Dams and Related Structures in Faryab, Jawzjan, Saripul, Balkh and Samangan Provinces”. The subject work of Geotechnical Investigation and related works constitutes a part of the Feasibility Studies, to be carried out at 10 potential dam sites to be finalized in consultation with MEW.

This geotechnical investigation carried out for feasibility studies of Tangi Shadyan dam site at Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh province, Afghanistan.

Ministry of Energy and Water is the Client for this project.

WAPCOS LTD. is the Contractor for this project.

Omran Geotechnical Company (OGC) is the Subcontractor for performing the geotechnical investigation for this project.
